  • Shorncliffe Camp [52nd Training camp] 80% done

    In 1803 Sir John Moore trained the 52nd and other regiments into England's first Light Division at this very camp. The 52nd then severed under the Duke of Wellington in the Napoleonic wars in Spain where the skill of the 52nd became well known for being able to do both line and light infantry duties and even storming the breach of a fortress.
