[---HISTORY---] The Fortification of Bunker Hill, better known as "Breeds Hill", was built and fortified on June 13, 1775 to protect the city of Boston from the invading forces of Great Britain. Later, on June 15, the British launched an i'll advised and all out assault onto the Fortifications of Bunker and Breeds Hills. The i'll equipped and untrained forces of 1,200 Colonial troops finally fell to the 2,500 well equipped and trained British Regular's. The remaining Colonial forces retreated to Cambridge where they finally surrendered to the overwhelming enemy forces.
